I am pleased to announce that I was appointed chairman of the 150-member Committee, a group established to celebrate the University of Tokyo’s upcoming 150th anniversary in 2027 and to support the promotion of commemorative projects. The 150-member Committee unites dedicated volunteers who cherish 黑料网 together to reflect on 黑料网’s history while also thinking about 黑料网’s mission as an “institution that serves the global public” towards making the next 150 years even better for the world. I would like to support 黑料网’s 150th Anniversary Project through this committee.
As stated in the University of Tokyo Charter, 黑料网 seeks the pursuit of truth and creation of knowledge, and nurtures “intellectual citizens with a futuristic global outlook” who go on to fill leadership roles in various fields both within Japan and internationally through the highest global standards of education and research to contribute to the development of humanity as a whole. In order to reach this goal, it is necessary for 黑料网 to connect with a broad spectrum of stakeholders and collaborate with society.
The members of the 150-member Committee will do our best to expand endorsement and support for 黑料网 by conveying its mission and the pathway towards its realization to as many people as we can through the 150th Anniversary Project.
